There are many reasons you might not want to come in for face to face counselling, whatever the reason, you can still access therapeutic help and support.

What is it exactly

Online counselling is a way for you to engage in therapy using a cloud-based video conferencing service such as zoom, where you virtually meet with your therapist. In this way you get the benefits of face to face counselling but with the convenience of online therapy.

Is it secure

SDC Therapy aims to provide the highest practical levels of client confidentiality protection by using end to end encryption and only utilising services and platforms that are HIPAA compliant.

What can I expect

Once you make the initial contact I will email you a referral form for us to go through together on your Free telephone or video consultation at a time that suits you.

How does it work

Before your session you can request to receive a simple guide on how to use zoom or click here to watch a video guide.

You will receive an email invitation a day before your session, to use the following day. This link will direct you to your secure zoom session. Once you are online, you will be asked to wait for me to admit you.

If you wish, you can choose to only work with audio through Zoom and no video camera would then be needed. You can direct your counselling by selecting the communication setting you feel most comfortable with.

Is it for me

If you are unsure about whether online counselling is for you, the consultation offers you a great opportunity to consider certain questions which will help provide clarity as to which method would be most suitable.
